What is Real Estate Boom?
Real Estate Boom is a free, real-time browser-based economic strategy game. You compete against two AI opponents for a single 200-second match to buy and flip land plots, upgrade them into Houses and Metropolises, and finish wealthiest across three cities: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Phoenix.
Is Real Estate Boom free to play?
Yes. Real Estate Boom is completely free. There are no ads, no paywalls, no microtransactions, and no premium tiers.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The game runs entirely in your browser. You can optionally install it as a Progressive Web App by adding it to your home screen for offline play, but no app-store download is required.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There are no accounts, sign-ups, or email requirements. Open the site and play immediately.
How long does one match take?
Each match is a single real-time session of 200 seconds — about 3–4 minutes start to finish.
How many players are there?
Three players total: you plus two AI opponents. Real Estate Boom is a single-player game against bots.
How do you win Real Estate Boom?
When the 200-second timer runs out, the player with the highest total net worth wins. Net worth is your cash on hand plus the current market value of every plot and building you own.
How does the market work?
Plot prices drift in real time under one of three market regimes: normal, bull, or bear. Bull and bear regimes last roughly 10–20 seconds and push prices strongly in one direction before the market reverts to normal. Bears happen more often than bulls.
What buildings can I construct?
Two upgrade tiers: Houses ($100K, 5% rent every 5 seconds) and Metropolis ($500K to upgrade from Houses, 10% rent every 5 seconds).
Why can't I buy every plot at the start?
Only 5 plots are available immediately. The rest unlock gradually as the game progresses — each locked plot has a small chance every second to become available. This creates ongoing opportunities throughout the match.
How much cash do I start with?
You and each of the two AI opponents start every match with $500,000.
What platforms does it work on?
Any modern browser on any device — iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, Chromebook. Built mobile-first but adapts to tablet and desktop.
Can I play offline?
Yes. As a Progressive Web App, after your first visit you can install it to your home screen and play without an internet connection.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes. No chat, no social features, no user-generated content, no purchases, no violence. Suitable for all ages.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No. Zero advertising. Zero in-app purchases. The entire game is free.
Does it save my game progress?
Yes. If you close the tab mid-match, your game state is saved locally and will resume when you return.
